Lesley Larg, Managing Partner of Thorntons, has been named the recipient of the Business Leadership Awards at the Scottish Legal Awards 2026.
Lesley will be presented with the prestigious award at the Scottish legal Awards dinner on Thursday 17 September 2026 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central, where Scotland’s legal profession will come together to celebrate outstanding achievement across the sector.
The Business Leadership Awards recognises an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic vision and a significant contribution to the success and development of their organisation.
Lesley has served as Managing Partner of Thorntons since 2021, leading the firm through a period of significant growth and transformation. Under her leadership, Thorntons has delivered record financial performance, completed strategic mergers, expanded its national and international presence and achieved sustained organic growth, while maintaining a strong focus on outstanding client service.
Having joined Thorntons in 2001, Lesley combines more than two decades of knowledge of the firm with an ambitious and forward-looking approach to leadership. Before becoming Managing Partner, she played an instrumental role in developing and establishing Thorntons’ highly regarded Intellectual Property, Technology and Media practice.
Her leadership has also placed people and workplace culture firmly at the heart of the firm’s continued development. Lesley has been a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion and for supporting the progression of women within the legal profession, while championing the attraction, development and retention of talent across Thorntons.
Known for an authentic and empathetic leadership style, Lesley has successfully combined strategic ambition with a strong commitment to the people, clients and communities the firm serves.

Lesley will receive the Business Leadership Award alongside this year’s category winners at the Scottish Legal Awards 2026 on Thursday 17 September at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central.
