With judging now complete and the news on finalists out this week, we are delighted to announce that our charity partners It’s Good 2 Give and Lawscot Foundation have been presented with a donation of £1500 each from KDMedia.

The donation amounts to the share of proceeds collected from the awards registration fees and combined with a donation from KDMedia which owns and operates the Scottish Legal Awards.

The funds see the Scottish Legal Awards continue its support with It’s Good 2 Give and the award winning, Ripple Retreat, a luxury respite home on Loch Venacher. The award winning luxury property is gifted to families throughout the year who are managing the strain of having a child affected by cancer.

Lynne McNicol, founder of It’s Good 2 Give, commented,

“Thank you so much to everyone who entered the Scottish Legal Awards this year. It has been an extremely difficult year for all charities and this kind donation will allow us to continue our vital work and help to support families in need.”

The awards also support the LawScot Foundation which helps students from less-advantaged backgrounds in Scotland through their legal education journey. The Lawscot Foundation is a charity established by the Law Society of Scotland.

Liz Campbell, Director of Education, Training and Qualifications at the Law Society of Scotland commented,

“We really appreciate the donation which will go a long way to supporting a student for one year of study, and we would like to thank all individuals and firms who entered the Scottish Legal Awards.”

The Scottish Legal Awards dinner and digital broadcast takes place on Thursday 23 September 2021 at the Glasgow DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. Tickets go on sale this week when finalists in the 18th annual competition are also announced.
