Three New Team Members Announced at KDMedia
Three new members are joining the team at KDMedia as the business gears up for the return of live events and the launch of their next major event brand.
Stephanie Newlands joins the team as full-time Event Director to manage event operations. Stephanie has worked for Sodexo for the last 10 years most recently as the manager of all the UK Covid test centres. She has had a long and successful career in events and hospitality.
Paula Dickson joins full time as Sales Manager from the brewing sector in a new position created for the delivery of In Drinks. In Drinks is KDMedia’s newest event launch. The new national trade show for the drinks sector takes place 8-9th March 2023 at the SEC in Glasgow.
In addition, the company welcomes Sophie Sproul who joins the team full time as Event Assistant having completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Aberdeen University. Sophie has worked with KDMedia over the last 9 months on an intern basis.
The news comes following the successful delivery of the 9th annual Scottish Property Awards held in Glasgow a few weeks ago. Over 650 people joined the event which returned after a 1-year break. 19 other events are now in planning for the remainder of 2022.
The existing team also bids farewell to long standing employees Kelly Porter and Pippa Barker who have served the company for 9 and 7 years respectively and leave to join new positions elsewhere.

The news brings the team to a total of 8 staff including Kirsten Speirs who founded the business over 20 years ago as a PR consultancy. The company’s longest standing event, The Scottish Legal Awards is now in its 19th year and will be presented in September in Glasgow. KDMedia operates 25 events a year for over 3000 people with the events supported by over 60 commercial sponsorships.
